Jurgen Klopp admits a return to manage Liverpool is conceivable.

Jurgen Klopp, who left Anfield in 2024, indicated that rejoining the club remains a possibility. Klopp, following a hugely successful nine-year spell that included Champions League success and ending the club's long wait since 1990, has since taken on positions as head of global soccer with the Red Bull group and as an advisor for the DFL.

Fan Sentiment and Klopp’s Candid Remarks

They secured the league title in the previous campaign, though countless followers who revere Klopp would be thrilled by the notion that he may eventually return. Speaking candidly, he told the podcast host: “I said I refuse to lead another team on English soil. So that means in case it's my former club...yeah. In theory, it could happen.”

“At 58 years old, so the choice could be mine down the line, I don’t know. Do I have to make the decision today? Then I will not coach again. Luckily, I don’t have to do that. I can just see what the future brings.”

Conditions for a Comeback

When asked about what circumstances would need to occur to draw him back to the touchline, he confessed he isn't eager toward coming back. “It's unclear to me, I love what I do right now,” he said. “No longing for management; I avoid standing under bad weather for two-and-a-half or three hours; No need for media briefings multiple times weekly or doing numerous chats each week.

“No nostalgia for the changing area as a dressing room, yet sharing a meal with the team enjoying conversation, is pleasant. We won a lot of games thus frequently a very good mood around the place. I can still hear the captain's chuckle ringing in my ears for example.”

Commending Arne Slot

Klopp was full of praise regarding Arne Slot, crediting him due to the changes that won the league in the previous season. They've been defeated a string of losses in every contest following significant transfers, yet he dismissed the notion it could be the start of a downward turn.

“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward in Flo[rian] Wirtz, doubters will be silenced with negative comments. An outstanding player. The French striker, superb talent. This is a well-built balanced team. You don’t have to worry over the club, they'll bounce back.”

Heartfelt Words for Diogo Jota

Klopp also spoke emotionally regarding the passing of the Portuguese star, whom he brought in while in charge, and the effect at the club. Jota died tragically in a vehicle collision with his brother this past summer.

“Who can fill the void of such an individual? This isn't just regarding his on-field talent, his personality mattered. I can’t imagine the squad missing him. I still cannot speak properly about it. A devastating blow for the entire squad too. Nobody at Liverpool will ever use it for poor performances though it's a fact. Being in that space where his spirit remains. Handling this individually is difficult. Impossible.”
