Our Purpose Is Only Eliminating' - How The Sudanese Brutal Paramilitary Group Perpetrated a Massacre

Warning: This Report Includes Explicit Descriptions of Shootings.

Fighters laugh as they travel on the back of a utility vehicle, hurrying alongside a line of multiple corpses and heading facing the setting Sudan's sun.

"Observe all this work. Observe this genocide," a combatant cheers.

He grins as he turns the camera on his own face and his companion combatants, their RSF badges clearly shown: "These people will all be killed like this."

The men are rejoicing over a mass killing that humanitarian officials believe claimed the lives of more than 2,000 individuals in the Sudan's city of the Darfur city during October.

An Urban Center Severed from the Globe

Following their control of the community under siege for approximately 24 months, from August the RSF proceeded to reinforce its control and restrict the leftover inhabitants.

Space-based imagery show that troops began to erect a immense earth barrier - a elevated earthen wall - encircling the perimeter of al-Fashir, sealing off entry points and blocking aid.

While the blockade worsened, multiple civilians were slain in an RSF assault on a place of worship on September 19th, while the international organization stated fifty-three more were killed in drone and heavy weapon attacks on a refugee settlement in fall.

Explicit Recording Shows Defenseless Individuals Executed

In the early morning on late October the RSF overwhelmed the final government strongholds and seized the main headquarters in the community, the headquarters of the 6th Infantry Division, as the army withdrew.

Perhaps the most disturbing videos to surface and examined revealed the aftermath of a atrocity at a campus structure on the west of the urban area, where dozens lifeless forms were visible spread throughout the area.

An elderly person clad in a white tunic was seated isolated amongst the bodies. He looked to glance as a militiaman carrying with a weapon walked along the staircase towards him. Raising his firearm, the fighter fired a one round at the victim, who collapsed to the surface motionless.

"Why is this one even alive," another militiaman shouted. "Shoot him."

Satellite images taken on October 26th appeared to verify that shootings were also performed on the thoroughfares of el-Fasher, based on a study released by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

An witness who provided testimony stated they had observed "multiple of our relatives being massacred - these individuals were gathered in a single location and everyone eliminated."

Militia Commanders Try to Implement Public Relations

Following the events that followed the killings, militia chief conceded that his troops had committed "violations" and announced the events would be looked into.

Part of the apprehended was subsequent to a investigation detailing his killings. Deliberately orchestrated and produced recording posted on the paramilitary's official Telegram platform show the individual being escorted into a prison room at a jail on the outskirts of el-Fasher.

At the same time, the RSF and affiliated social media channels commenced attempting to reshape the account.

Posts depicting its militiamen handing out aid to inhabitants were disseminated by various accounts, while the militia's media office shared multiple videos allegedly to demonstrate the humane treatment of army prisoners of war.

Regardless of the digital effort being employed by the RSF, their conduct in the city have sparked international outrage.
